Hello,
It's Sam from SB Creatives Photography here....
Last night, I had the privilege of photographing the Zach Sage comedy show at Central Shul – and what an evening it was! With the talented Chani Lisbon opening the night, the atmosphere was alive with laughter, warmth, and community spirit.
From the moment guests arrived, there was an undeniable buzz. People came not only for a night of world-class comedy but also to enjoy being together in such a vibrant space. My role was to capture that energy – the excitement before the show, the joy during it, and the candid moments in between.
Chani Lisbon set the stage beautifully, engaging the crowd from the very first moment. Her humour, full of wit and relatability, had the audience laughing almost immediately. Photographing her performance was a pleasure – her expressive delivery and the crowd’s reactions created images that radiate joy and connection.
Then came the highlight of the evening. Zach Sage’s set was filled with sharp timing, clever observations, and plenty of moments that had the entire shul in fits of laughter. From wide crowd shots that captured the collective joy, to close-up frames showing individual smiles and bursts of laughter, I worked to document the story of the night in a way that would let people relive it again and again.
What struck me most wasn’t only the talent on stage, but the way this event brought the community together. Central Shul provided the perfect setting – warm, intimate, and full of energy.
As a photographer, these are the moments I value most: authentic expressions, shared experiences, and the joy of community life. Last night reminded me once again why I love doing what I do.
Until Next Time...
