Hello,

It's Sam from SB Creatives Photography here....

This Chanukah season has been nothing short of magical, and I had the privilege of documenting one of its most vibrant moments — the Central Synagogue Chanukah Party on the 3rd night of the Festival of Lights. The event was a dazzling celebration of community, culture, and joy, held in the heart of Sydney and graced by notable figures and unforgettable experiences.

The event drew an impressive crowd, including special guests Dave Sharma, former Australian ambasstor to Israel, and the Governor-General of Australia. Their presence highlighted the significance of Chanukah not just as a Jewish holiday but as a celebration that resonates with the broader Australian community. Capturing their interactions with attendees and their heartfelt participation in the festivities was an honour.

No party is complete without delicious treats, and Däs Gelato delivered in style. Guests indulged in a variety of rich, creamy flavors that added a sweet touch to the evening. Photographing families and friends savoring their ice cream was a delight, and the colorful cones and cups added a visual pop to the photos.

A definite highlight of the night was the incredible dog show by the Wonderdogs. Their tricks and antics left everyone in awe, and the children, in particular, couldn’t get enough of the four-legged performers. Capturing the excitement on the faces of the audience as the Wonderdogs jumped, spun, and showcased their remarkable talents was one of the most rewarding parts of the evening.

Of course, no Chanukah celebration is complete without the menorah lighting. As the candles were lit, the room filled with a warm glow, symbolizing the resilience and faith of the Jewish people. It was a moment of togetherness and reflection, beautifully uniting everyone in attendance.

Being the photographer for this event allowed me to witness firsthand the joy and connection that Chanukah brings to the community. From the dignitaries to the dazzling Wonderdogs, the evening was a perfect blend of tradition and fun, creating memories that I hope my photos help preserve for years to come.

Thank you to the Central Synagogue for trusting me to capture such a special night. It’s opportunities like these that remind me why I love what I do — telling stories through my lens and celebrating the moments that bring us together.

Chanukah Sameach to everyone, and may the light of the menorah continue to brighten your lives!
