Hi,
It's Sam from SB Creatives Potography here....
Last night, I had the honour of photographing the first night Selichot service at Central Synagogue, a truly moving evening held in conjunction with Kehillat Kadimah. The atmosphere was electric with spiritual energy, blending the solemnity of the High Holy Day season with the warmth of our community coming together.
The service was elevated by the powerful words of Rabbi Levi and Rabbi Dovy, whose messages resonated deeply with everyone present. Their teachings reminded us of the importance of introspection, repentance, and the beauty of returning to our highest selves as we approach the Yamim Noraim.
Adding to the spiritual depth was the breathtaking Chazanim choir, whose voices filled the sanctuary with melodies that stirred the soul. The harmonies carried a sense of timeless tradition, connecting each of us to generations past while inspiring hope for the year ahead.
Photographing such a sacred event is always a privilege. Beyond capturing the moments, I aim to convey the emotion, devotion, and unity that define these occasions. From the intensity of prayer to the quiet reflections in each face, every image tells a story of faith, community, and personal connection.
This night was not just a service—it was a shared journey of reflection, learning, and inspiration. Being able to document it for Central Synagogue and Kehillat Kadimah was a reminder of why I love what I do: preserving moments of spiritual significance, emotion, and communal pride for all to remember.
Wishing you and your loved ones a shana Tova u'metuka - A good and sweet year
Until Next Time...
