Last Thursday, the 30th of May 2024, was a night to remember as I had the incredible opportunity to be the official photographer for the One & All 90's Rave Party. The event, held at an iconic venue in Sydney, was a vibrant celebration of the 90s rave culture, complete with neon shirts, bucket hats, and an unforgettable atmosphere. Organised by the talented Madeline from Wondiverse, with DJ Tiny Dancer spinning the decks, the night was a perfect blend of nostalgia and contemporary fun.

From the moment I arrived, the energy was electric. Participants and guests were busy painting their own neon shirts and bucket hats, transforming plain white canvases into glowing works of art. The creative spirit was infectious, and it wasn't long before the venue was filled with a kaleidoscope of neon colours. Under the black lights, the neon designs came alive, adding a dynamic visual element that was both stunning and nostalgic.

As a photographer, events like these are a dream come true. The vibrant colours, enthusiastic crowd, and dynamic lighting provided endless opportunities for capturing unique and memorable shots. I made my way through the crowd, snapping candid moments of friends laughing, dancing, and showcasing their neon masterpieces. The DIY aspect of the outfits added a personal touch to the photos, highlighting the individuality and creativity of each participant.

One of the highlights was capturing the joy and pride on people's faces as they admired their neon creations. It was clear that the event was more than just a party; it was a celebration of creativity and community. I focused on capturing not just the neon glow, but also the connections and interactions that made the night so special.

DJ Tiny Dancer was in top form, spinning a mix of classic 90s tracks and modern beats that kept the dance floor buzzing. The music was the heart of the rave, setting the tone for the night and keeping everyone moving. As I captured shots of the dance floor, it was evident that the music was the driving force behind the energy and excitement of the night.

Madeline from Wondiverse deserves a special mention for her incredible organisation and vision. Her attention to detail and passion for creating unique experiences shone through in every aspect of the event. From the DIY neon stations to the perfectly curated playlist, Madeline ensured that every guest had an unforgettable experience. Photographing the event gave me a deeper appreciation for the hard work and creativity that goes into organising such a spectacular night.

The One & All 90's Rave Party was a visual feast and a joyous celebration of the 90s rave culture. As a photographer, it was a privilege to capture the essence of the night—the vibrant colours, the infectious energy, and the creative spirit of the guests. Events like these remind me why I love what I do, and I left with a camera full of photos and a heart full of memories.
